The painting is entitled ‘Close Knit Community’.
Healing Art for Connection and Community Inspired by Women Healers
This healing art for connection and communityis inspired by my deep connection to the history of women healers – those who gathered, healed, and supported others through natural wisdom.
Remembering the Women of the Witch Trials
I’ve climbed Pendle Hill, believed to be connected to the women accused during the witch trials.
There is a deep energy in places like this – a quiet remembrance of lives lived in service, often misunderstood.
At the base of Edinburgh Castle, there is a small black plaque that can easily be overlooked. It is dedicated to those who lost their lives during the witch trials.
Many of these women were not what history labelled them as.
They were midwives. Herbalists. Caregivers.
Women who worked with natural remedies – just as many of us do today.
The Connection to Modern-Day Healing
In this life, I have always been a caregiver as a nurse, transformational energy medicine practitioner and a mother.
As a transformational energy medicine practitioner, I recognise the thread that connects past and present.
This healing art for connection and community reflects that shared identity – those who are called to support, guide, and hold others through healing.
Finding Your Tribe
I was in Edinburgh as a teaching assistant for an Eden Energy Medicine Fundamentals class – surrounded by my tribe.
That sense of belonging, of being with like-minded souls, felt deeply aligned with the essence of this piece.
Connection is not just about proximity.
It is about resonance.
