Yorkshire Health & Wellbeing Festival.

Date: Saturday 4 November 2023
Time: 10am to 4pm
Venue: Victoria Hall, Keighley.
Cost: £3 online each or 6 for £12 or £5 on the door.

The festival has complementary health practitioners and stalls, most with taster sessions and samples to buy on the day.

Entry includes talks such as yoga and giant sound bath at 3.50pm. The fee for the full sound bath workshop is paid on the door.

FAMILY FUN!
The venue is next to the Leisure Centre with vouchers available for swimming, sauna or access to the gym and there will be a free bouncy castle inside the venue for small children.

We are currently in talks with the local authority to help us make this an even more family orientated event and community festival with food stalls and other play activities and performances by local groups outside the venue.

  1. What do I need to bring?
    Just an inquisitive mind and an eagerness to see this as an opportunity to truly begin to change your life.
  2. How do I book and pay?
    You can pay on this page or pay £5 on the door. There will also be a raffle (always a favourite!) with great prizes.
  3. How do I get to the venue?
    There is free parking, plus there are buses and it’s a short taxi journey to the venue.
  4. Will there be refreshments?
    Teas & coffees will be served at the event.
  5. Is there disabled access?
    Yes, plus everything is on the ground floor.
  6. What other festivals do you run?
    We hold festivals at three UK locations twice a year at each:
    YORKSHIRE (Keighley) on Saturday 4 Nov 2023, 11 May 2024 and 9 Nov 2024 with approx 65 stands, talks and yoga, etc.
    BRIGHTON on Sat 20 Apr 2024 and Fri 23 & Sat 24 Aug 2024 bank holiday weekend with approx 35 stands.

Come early and spend the day with us. We end the festival with a giant sound bath to help heal everyone in the room, bring us together and build the caring community we all want to belong to.

MOVEMENT WORKSHOPS (details to be added)
1. Hatha yoga with energy medicine brings the body, mind and soul into balance and incorporates the Daily Energy Routine and Salute to the Sun.
2. Sound bath, foster relaxation, reduce stress and enhance mental clarity by immersing the mind and body in soothing vibrations, promoting balance and rejuvenating overall wellbeing. There is a fee for this session, paid at the door.
3. Pilates, strengthen your core muscles, improve flexibility, posture and body awareness. This session will help enhance balance, reduces stress for improved physical and mental well-being.
4. The spirit of Cacao, through meditation, music and mantra, liberate yourself with this ceremony from constraints, unveiling the brilliance of your authentic self.
5. Reflexology, stimulate pressure points on the feet, hands or ears to promote relaxation, pain relief and improved circulation. It can alleviate stress and aid the natural healing processes.

TALKS (45 mins each)
1. The Importance of Health & Wellbeing, with an overview of what this means and asking can the body heal itself and how can ‘complimentary’ therapies play a larger role in mainstream health delivery.
2. The Great Debate, chaired by David Robertson (festival organiser) with a select panel giving short answers to whatever questions is concerning the audience. This can include local, national or international issues as well as some of the treatments available at the festival.
3. The Abdomen, JacksFeet will inform you how abdominal massage works to maintain optimum function of the organs.
4. The hidden secrets in water. Adam White will help you discover the fascinating world of charged water and its healing potential, as pioneered by Dr. Emoto and how water’s responsiveness to thoughts and emotions can profoundly impact our well-being.
5. The benefits of hypnotherapy. Find out how the function of the mind can contribute to anxiety and stress and be guided on steps to take to alleviate stressors, enhancing our ability to cope with the daily challenges of life. The session will conclude with a brief rejuvenating hypnotic relaxation experience.
6. Clairvoyance explored. Clairvoyance is the intuitive ability to perceive information or events beyond normal sensory perception. It involves gaining insights or visions about people, places, or events through extrasensory perception, often referred to as “seeing” or “knowing” without physical cues.
